RH MEDIA GROUP MOVE SUPPORTED BY TOURISM MINISTRY

Visit Malaysia Year 2007 started successfully by attracting 1, 583, 517 visitors and tourists to the country within the month of January. This is an increase of 8.9% compared to the same period in the previous year.

In conjunction with the country’s direction for VMY 2007, RH Media Group has been organizing trips for their business associates from China to visit Malaysia, and this has played a part in increasing the head counts of visitors coming in to the country.

RH Media Group is also proud to know that what they are doing is very much encouraged and supported by the Tourism Ministry.

Dato’ Donald Lim Siang Chai, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Tourism, said, “Local companies should encourage their overseas business partners and associates to make Malaysia their next destination for company trips, business trips or even family get-aways”.

He added that Malaysia is a beautiful, multi-cultural country with a large variety of good food and interesting places to visit, and where else can you find a country with such warm tropical climates.

Last month, RH Media Group brought in more than 70 visitors when they organized the Focus Media Group’s company trip to Malaysia. This happened between February 22nd to the 26th, 2007. These consist of their employees from their Shanghai, Guangzhou and Beijing offices.

The trip was Focus Media Group’s first ever visit to Malaysia and they were brought on a tour to see some of the country’s famous tourist spots and indulge in local cuisines.

To help increase more visitors to the country, RH Media Group has organized yet another trip for the staff of Focus Media Group, consisting of their employees and a large number of their biggest and highest spending clients. This will in turn help increase Malaysia’s economic growth.


“We are proud to support the government in their direction with Visit Malaysia Year 2007 by organizing Focus Media Group’s company trip here”, said Mr. Cheong Chia Chieh, Group Managing Director of RH Media Group. Cheong added that the group will be arriving on 24th of March and leaving on the 28th of March after savoring Malaysia’s best.

Focus Media Group, listed on the NESDAQ, New York, is one of China’s largest outdoor media, focusing on audio-visual flat panel displays, otherwise known as LCD screens, as well as electronic billboards. The company has had a turn-over of several billions USD since being listed.

The company was established in 1997 and is headquartered in Shanghai, the People’s Republic of China. It has approximately 75,000 display units in its commercial location network, 33,000 display units in its in-store network, and nearly 75,000 advertising poster frames installed in China, and approximately 75 leased digital billboards.
